Faith•Believing God Can

My reading this morning was in Romans 4.

I am so encouraged after reading and studying again about Abraham’s faith.

“That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.”

Romans 4:17, 20

He believed in the God who brings dead back to life and makes new things out of nothing! We know that God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) so He is the same God who can still do these things. Do we still believe this or have we gotten in a routine of life to just believe well this is just how it is. Do we still believe He is a mountain moving God? Do we still believe God can do all the miraculous things we read about it the Bible? Let’s just look back and remember just some of those we read about.

•He delivered the Israelites from slavery. Are we walking in bondage? He is the deliverer, still.

•He parted the Red Sea. Is there a part of your life where you see no way out, no way it’ll get better? He can still make a way where there seems no way.

•He rained down manna from Heaven. He made water come from a rock. Are you wandering how you are going to make it? He is provider, He can make things out of nothing. Stop depending on you and depend solely on Him. He will provide.

•Did He promise Abraham a son? He made good on that promise and every promise He has ever made.

Never give up, never quit believing, God is always faithful. The scripture said, “Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger and in this he brought glory to God.”

If we can continually remember this and be encouraged by Abraham’s example of believing then our faith will continue to grow stronger and stronger as his did.

It’s so important we keep this strong faith, this belief that God is still a miracle worker. Read about Jesus’ life and all the miracles He did. The word says, “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” John 14:12 NLT

We can see these great works and even more but we must have faith and believe. What are you believing God for today? A healed marriage, a healed body, a healed mind, provision in your life? Whatever you’re needing place it in the hands of the provider, the healer, the restorer and have faith. We can’t live off someone else’s faith and someone can’t live off ours we must have faith ourself. We must, deep down, truly believe God is a miracle worker and that He will come through!

I hope this encourages and boost your faith as it has mine today! I still believe God is the miracle worker.

Lord, continue to grow our faith stronger and stronger and let our lives bring glory to You!!

In Jesus Name, Amen

Michelle
