It’s Time to Be Bold

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled.

And they realized that they had been with Jesus. saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬, ‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The disciples had just had their upper room experience. They were filled with the Spirit. Miracles were happening, the Holy Spirit was filling believers and lame men were walking. The religious didn’t like what they were witnessing BUT when they saw the boldness of Peter and John they couldn’t deny they had been with Jesus. They also said they couldn’t deny the miracles they had witnessed. As you read on in Acts you can see that the religious leaders tried to stop the disciples from spreading Jesus but they absolutely could not. They would be thrown in jail but released by angels. Threatened they better never speak of Jesus again but they still did.

Their boldness made the impact. How did they get this boldness? The Holy Spirit! Time spent in the presence of God. Praying fill me, refill me. When we’ve spent this time in the presence of the Lord we come out with a boldness, never arrogance, but a humble boldness. Boldness to want to spread the good news of Jesus everywhere we go, not worrying about what others might say or think. Boldness to speak truth in love. Boldness to believe for miracles. Boldness to do whatever it is God calls us to do, knowing He will see you through it. When we walk in boldness like this, we will be part of miracles that cannot be denied. We will see them.

Be bold as a lion. For a lion to roar it has to bow its head in order to take in enough breath to let out a mighty roar. A lions roar can be heard up to five miles away. For us to have a voice in these last days, we will have to bow and breathe in Gods Holy Spirit, we will come up with a mighty roar that will be heard and make an impact miles away. Revival just might break out.

I’m taking a bow, a lowly stance, so Jesus can be exalted more in my life!
