Becoming the women that God has created us to be!

What does it take for us to become the mighty women of God that He created us to be.

First, we need Jesus. Salvation is the first step.

We need to surrender all and live a surrendered life. We can not become who He created us to be apart from Him. Surrender to Him so that He can fill you. God can’t fill something that isn’t empty.

Second, we have got to be women that know The Word. Be filled with Jesus, The Word.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

• •Teaching-teaches us who Jesus is (Read the gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), teaches us who we are (Child of God, Daughters of the King, Chosen, we have a royal heritage), teaches us what God has done for us (John 3:16 He gave up a child for us!) and it teaches us what He desires for us to do to be Godly women. We must be prayer warriors for our families (Praying daily for our husbands and our children next, cover them in prayer daily) Praying wives, praying moms, praying women.

• •Rebuking– Reprimand, to criticize. It tells us what is wrong in our lives. Shows us our sin so that we can turn from sin. We must be willing to deal with sin in our lives.

• •Correcting-It doesn’t just rebuke with out correcting & showing us what we need to do to live in accordance with the truth. It shows us how to live.

• •Training in righteousness– Training is practice for something. The bible trains us for righteousness (righteousness=right living) Training can be hard and painful at times but we must be willing to put in the time daily. Reading our bibles daily is training. Dig in and study The Word.

Third, our gifts. We need to be women knowing that God has put something in every one of us, we each have purpose. Lets put our gifts to work for the kingdom.

(1 Corinthians 12) Gifts are not for our purpose but for serving God and advancing the kingdom. We must put them to use.

Let’s be women who walk in the purpose that God created us for, to live out our God given destiny. Become who God created us to be. Women sold out to Jesus!

Let’s be women stirred by Jesus. When you stir something you activate it (stir-to make something operative). Jesus should be active in our life, The Word should be active in our lives and our gifts should be active in our life. We are called to be active, constantly moving and growing. We are not always to be bottle fed Christians, we must move from being bottle fed to feeding ourselves and then eventually to feeding others. Constantly moving, constantly growing and helping others grow. If something sits too long it becomes stagnant, we are not called to be stagnant Christians.

Titus 2:3-4 Teach the older women to live in a way that is appropriate for someone serving the Lord. They must not go around speaking evil of others and must not be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others to do what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to take care of their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.

We must be women who know The Word, live The Word so that we can teach the younger women. Someone is always watching the way we live.

I’m stirred, challenged, encouraged and excited to live out the call that God has placed on my life. My prayer is that each of us are stirred to be who God created us to be. Women of The Word, women sold out to Jesus!

Amen!
