Reading, studying and praying through Acts this morning. I’m burdened for more people to read and learn about Pentecost. I want people to know and understand there is more, the power of the Holy Spirit. It says, suddenly there was a sound from Heaven. We need a sound from Heaven again! Next, they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. We need an outpouring of the Spirit again!
“And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
Acts 2:2, 4 NKJV
After this miraculous outpouring there were some onlookers who mocked them, saying they were drunk with wine when they heard them speaking in tongues. Peter, a disciple, stood up and began preaching and explaining, they aren’t drunk. He explained what they were seeing.
It says Peter’s words convicted them. He told them to turn from their sins, be baptized and receive the Holy Spirit. He told them in verse forty, save yourselves from this generation that has gone astray. Sounds familiar to where we are now. It says about three thousand were baptized and added to the church that day. Lives were changed that day. We need an outpouring like that again.
There are many that would still say Pentecost is not for today. I’m pretty sure God is still about saving lives, changing lives and building the church and His people walking in power. We have left Pentecost saying it’s not for this time. Look where we are. We are further from what looks like the church. We need the church built back up. We need power in the churches again. We need another Pentecost.
I challenge you if you don’t know what Pentecost is, get in Acts and read. Message me, I will send you all the scriptures, I will explain my own experience to you.
In these last days we need more people walking in the fullness of what God has for them. We need more people walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says,
“Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:14 NKJV
““Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.”
Matthew 7:13 NKJV
The gate is narrow. We don’t want to believe that everybody isn’t saved but that’s the reality. People are getting further and further from God and we must see the urgency. This world will openly, what the Bible clearly states as sin, post sin everywhere as normal. We have got to have a burden in these last days to see more people saved and walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. When that happens you will see chains fall off people. Chains that have held them for years. Addiction gone, generational curse gone, shame gone, anxiety gone, miraculous healings! There is so much freedom in Jesus! I’m so thankful He sent us a Helper, the Holy Spirit.
We are going to need the power to help us stand in these last days. We need the power to live a victorious life. After Peter received the Holy Spirit he never denied Jesus again. The power helps you stand firm in times of trial and testing. He preached with boldness after that. We need some men to stand and preach with boldness and no matter what comes their way they continue claiming Jesus! We need men of God to rise up. Daddy, you must lead your family well. You are leading them somewhere, where is it? Wife, be his prayer warrior, be his helper, be who God has called you to be. Teach those babies the Bible, how to pray and how to praise. Show them what walking in the power looks like. Don’t walk in defeat, walk in victory!
We must all be saved to go to heaven, that’s it. The power of the Holy Spirit is for this life, to walk in power and victory over all the schemes of enemy!
Seek out all that God has for you here and now! We need a revival, a Pentecost, in these last days. I plan to be part of that revival! I plan to walk in the fullness of all that God has for me! I hope you do too!
