Want that glowing skin? Keep reading….

Who doesn’t love a good facial? We ladies want good skin. If you’ve ever had a facial you know that you usually leave with a glow about you. Now that’s probably all the moisturizer they put on but I always leave feeling like I’ve got this youthful glowing skin. What if I told you I figured out what can give us a glow that will not go away?

I knew a lady that had a glow about her. This was my sweet grandmother. She died in her 80’s still with a glow and as beautiful as ever. Now she did used Mary Kay but this wasn’t it. I attribute her beauty to be from how she loved, spent time with and served the Lord. Mawmaw loved the Lord and all that knew her, knew this! Her beauty began inside and radiated outside. Her life has inspired me to live and stay the course serving God. I want that beauty that my Mawmaw had that begins on the inside!

The Bible says in Exodus 34 that Moses met with God and afterward he had a glow about him. God had called Moses to Mount Sinai. He spent 40 days and 40 nights in the presence of the Lord. God spoke to Moses there and was given the Ten Commandments.

Now, when the Lord called Moses to come, it says in verse four that Moses rose early to meet with Him.

”Then Moses rose early in the morning and went up Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him; and he took in his hand the two tablets of stone.“

Exodus 34:4 NKJV

We can find numerous accounts in the Bible of rising early to meet with the Lord. Why is this? Seeking God first thing. If we are going to have that glow we are going to have to spend time in His presence. We need the glow that comes from spending time with God before we start our day!

”Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai, that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.“

Exodus 34:29 NKJV

There are times, if you’re like me, that life gets busy and you know you’re not giving God your best. Just like our skin can get dull we can let our relationship with God begin to get dull. This isn’t God’s doing it’s ours. It’s us getting busy, rushing our God time, spending too much time on other worthless things rather on what truly matters.

Ladies, if we are going to have this lasting glow, this beauty that radiates we are going to have to spend time in the Lord’s presence. So it’s time to set aside time for a “facial.” Maybe you need to wake up 5-10 minutes earlier, maybe you need to set aside a fast day, whatever it is you feel like you need to do to get alone with God, get in His presence and hear His voice, like Nike says, just do it!

Can’t wait to see some shiny faces!!!

Blessings, Michelle
