Our garden is now producing some yummy fresh vegetables! Everyday there is a harvest to reap! This year is probably the best our garden has ever looked. Why is that?
We planted in better ground this year. Where we live the ground is not ideal. So Keith brought in new soil and really fertilized that soil. He worked on this for a while and got it ready to plant. We planted mostly seeds. So for a while we couldn’t see anything coming up but Keith kept working, fertilizing, pulling weeds every day believing a harvest was coming. Now, after a couple of months it is overflowing with a beautiful crop!
”But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”“
Matthew 13:23 NKJV
It takes diligent work day by day to have a good garden. Keith is the gardener in this house, I give him all the credit, without fail he is going to be out there every morning working in that garden.
Having and being good ground is essential for sowing and reaping. Doing the work is essential for a harvest.
What kind of soil is the state of our heart? Does the Word fall on it but not take root? We must do the work, pray God search my heart, weed out anything not of God. As we do this the soil of heart becomes softened and God’s Word can take root.
So many lessons in sowing and reaping, the Bible speaks of many.
”And don’t allow yourselves to be weary in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!“
Galatians 6:9 TPT
Keep doing good work, a harvest is coming!
”For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”“ John 4:37-38 NKJV
Mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, sister, brother, keep working, keep sowing, keep believing, others will be affected, lives will be changed!
”But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.“
II Corinthians 9:6 NKJV
I just want to encourage someone today, even if you don’t see a harvest at this time, know it’s coming. Keep sowing, keep doing the work, keep believing for the harvest!
