Created for a purpose

I’ve been studying women of the Bible lately. Esther, Ruth and now Deborah, each have a resounding theme. God has a purpose for each of us.

We see in Esther that her actions and decisions led to generations of people being saved. If she had stayed quiet, let her fear get the best of her, there would have been a very different outcome for so many people.

In Ruth we see the dedication and the love she continued to show her mother in law. Such an example to us women as mothers and wives. Don’t give up on your families. Stay dedicated even when it may be hard. Maybe your kids are driving you crazy. Stay the course, you’re raising mighty men and women that God has great plans for. Your efforts, your prayers over your kids, over your marriage will pay off and are being heard.

I’m studying Deborah now and find that she was a great leader, she was wise, had good judgment and always gave God glory for her victories.

All of these women bring something we can learn from. I want to be like Esther and be willing to step out even in my fear, trusting God that much. Be dedicated to my family like Ruth and be a wise leader like Deborah. Like all of them I want to have a willing heart for God to use, I want to walk in my purpose and do the work that God created me to do.

What will God use you to do? To me that’s an exciting question.

Think about these questions. Do I truly believe God has a purpose for me?

Am I a willing vessel allowing God to make His mark on this world through me?

Continue praying Lord use me and continue following each step He takes you. He will do more than you could ever think or imagine in your life when you surrender your will to His.

Michelle 🙂
