Home.Sweet.Home

Home sweet home. There’s no place like home. Our homes are where memories are made, our kids learn about love, discipline, sharing, caring, life lessons and hopefully about God. The foundation of their faith begins inside the home. What if we raised kids with a strong foundation, deep roots planted in Christ? I believe a lot of the problems outside the home wouldn’t be here if we built strong foundations inside the four walls of our homes. God and His word are the infrastructure of our lives, including our homes. If our infrastructure is strong then it can withstand the storms of life. What kind of foundation are we building in our homes, on solid rock or sinking sand? Sand washes away when the storm comes but a rock can withstand.

We as Christians are called into ministry and it begins in our homes with our spouses and children. Our homes are teaching grounds. We can’t do ministry effectively outside the home if we can’t start on the inside of our home. I read this morning about Aquila & Priscilla, it said their home was a place for training and worship. That’s it, we are training up a child and hopefully through our actions honoring God which in turn is worship. Their home was church to many. I pray my home is church to many. I pray every person that comes will feel God’s presence. That the fruits of the spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control are evident in my home. Join me in this prayer over our homes. Lord, let your presence be evident, help me to train up my child so when he/she is older she will not depart from it. Lord help me to love my spouse so that my kids see a loving marriage. Lord, help our home be a place that you are always honored. In Jesus Name, Amen.

I pray families get back to not only wanting God in our schools and everywhere outside the home but making sure God is on the inside of our home and that it’s evident. Homes, marriages, and kids lives will be changed when we allow God to reign there and in turn the effects will be taken to the outside of homes.

“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

“We ❤️ Jesus” I pray this is evident in our home and lives. 🙏🏻

Praying,

Michelle
