Speak, Lord, your servant is listening

I have been studying Jeremiah for some time now. I’ve read over and over where God gives Jeremiah a message to tell the people. He then goes to the people and says, “This is what the Lord Almighty says.”

He lived a life listening to the Lord. Shouldn’t we be like Jeremiah and constantly be listening to the Lord?

Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Ask me and I will tell you some remarkable secrets about what is going to happen here.”

God desires to speak to us as He did Jeremiah. He will open our eyes and ears to understand and see more. If you’re a parent, I encourage you to listen to the Lord. I have prayed that God will show me my kids heart. I know firsthand He will tell you & allow you to see things going on in your kids life. There have been times I’ve known stuff about my kids that could only be God showing me. Then comes the hard part. Will we be like Jeremiah and take a message to the people. Jeremiah had to say some tough stuff to the people, warnings that if they didn’t change and turn then God’s wrath would be on them. I would have been terrified if I were Jeremiah and I’m sure he was at times. It’s easier to stay quiet and not take the message but I know those times God revealed something to me about my kids it was my job, my call to go to them with it and correct and warn them. It could save their life, their future from destruction. God will give us a word for our kids, for our spouse, for our friend but we have to be available & listening to hear what it is God wants us to know. That’s the hard part, listening, but also once we hear we must do something with what God has told us. I confess this is hard on both parts. I can get so busy that I don’t find time to sit and say, “Speak, Lord, I’m listening.” I do know that when we do that He will begin to pour into our hearts.

Today make your mind up that every day you will find time to be with the Lord like Jeremiah was and hear from Him. Verse 3 said, “Ask me and I will tell you some remarkable secrets about what is going to happen here.” Who doesn’t want to know remarkable secrets! It could save someone’s life, bless someone’s life!

We are listening Lord 🙏🏻
