“Communication is Key”

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.”

Hebrews 10:19-20 NLT

What great news is this! Before Jesus shed His blood for us we couldn’t enter the Most Holy Place. Thank you Jesus that the veil was torn and now we can enter into God’s presence. We can sit in His presence, commune with Him.

Something my dad taught us was to communicate. One thing he told us as we got older was “Communication is Key.” He used this in business and he used this with us. When we were teenagers we didn’t have cell phones, we had beepers/pagers. We knew if we got a page from daddy you best find a pay phone and give him a call back ASAP. I would always laugh at his slogan “Communication is Key” but the older I’ve gotten, and even more so since he is no longer here, I see how true that statement is. Communication is key in your relationship with Christ, in your marriage, with your children, in any relationship, for it to thrive there has to be daily continual communication.

We have the amazing privilege to enter into God’s presence and talk with Him. This is a privilege I know at times I take for granted. This hasn’t always been the case but because of the blood we are able. I know my relationship with Him, my closeness, my intimacy depends on entering into His presence, spending time, communicating with Him daily.

Lord, help us to never forget what a privilege it is to enter into your presence and spend time with you. Lord, may I never let a day go by that I don’t communicate with you. Thank you for the blood that allows me this privilege. In Jesus Name, Amen.
