Are you living in the overflow?

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NLT

We were not created to just get by. We are created to live in overflow. Overflow of blessing, of healing, anointing, of His spirit.

Recently, I drove accross Neely Henry dam. It got me to thinking, what is a dam exactly. These are some facts I found out.

*Dams are another source of power.

*To generate electricity in a dam you need two things, an abundance of water and a difference in elevation from outlet to inlet.

I heard the Lord say you’ve got a source of power, His name is Jesus!

To generate electricity in a dam you need two things, an abundance of water, we’ve got an abundance of living water, the spring never runs dry!

There’s a difference in elevation, we know one who is seated on high at the right hand of the Father.

He’s an outlet, we’re an inlet!

We have all that we need to have and walk in the power.

The definition of a Dam is, a barrier created to hold back water.

We need the living water to overflow. So with a dam the only way for water to overflow is to have a break in the dam. Now, a break in a dam is catastrophic. It’s not a good thing but there’s some breaking in our life that can be good.

The breaking I’ve experienced is a great thing. The breaking that I’ve experienced left chains on the ground, left the yoke of sin on the ground, left anxiety, fear, shame, doubt gone, this is the breaking that Jesus died to give us.

He died to break the barrier keeping the water from flowing!

When a dam breaks the water overflows.

The barrier was broken, the veil was torn and we can enter in.

If you’ve been just getting by, you’re living at a deficit, there’s overflow available.

Maybe God is saying there’s some things that need to break that are holding you back, a barrier. Pray that the Lord will reveal to you what it is.

Lord, let us overflow with Your presence, with Your Spirit. Fill our cups Lord.

Quench every thirsty soul!

Fill us with your living water!

We don’t want just enough, fill us to overflowing! In Jesus Name!

Michelle 🙂
