I’m studying in the short book of Haggai today. Reading about how God had given the Jews the assignment to finish the temple but after many years they still hadn’t completed it. They had gotten busy with their own work. Building their own life. So busy that they left the Lord’s work unfinished.
I’ve been there. Life gets busy, we have jobs and homes. Time goes by, sometimes years go by and I’ve left what the Lord told me to do, undone. My priority’s get out of order.

The Lord sent the prophet Haggai to give a message, “Get to work.”
I hear the Lord telling His people again, “So get to work.”
Get to work, there’s a lot of ground to cover. He will supply all we need for the job but He needs some willing workers. What is it God has called you to do but you have gotten too busy and left it undone? How can you prioritize more time for His work?
He’s looking for some finishers. Some people that will stick with the task until complete. We are never out of the game or done, there’s always kingdom work for us to do. I’m believing my greatest tasks are still to come. Believing God is going to use me until my last breath.
If you have found yourself busy, running and maybe have left some things undone decide with me today, I’m determined to be a finisher. I’m finishing the work, this race, God has called me to!
