In the book of Esther we find that she was facing a hard situation that seemed impossible. Her life and her peoples lives were in jeopardy. Something had to be done to turn this around. What did she do? She called a fast. The end result, her and her people were saved from annihilation.
Her obedience impacted the next generation of Jews. There wouldn’t be a next generation because they would’ve all been gone. She stepped in and interceded.
What if we don’t pass the mantle of prayer and fasting down to the next generation.
If we don’t see the importance of praying, fasting and interceding, will the next generation see no importance of praying at all? Will they know the power of prayer, of fasting? Will they understand denying yourself for the sake of someone else, interceding?
If we give up, what about the next generation and the next?
I believe the Lord is calling us back to a deeper place of prayer, fasting and interceding for our kids, our marriages, our lost family. What situation are you facing that seems impossible?
What or who is it that He’s calling you to step in for today?
Be encouraged, when we are obedient to do what He calls us to do, our situation will turnaround, our marriages and kids lives will be affected. Lives will be saved!
Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
