Have you ever been in a place of discouragement? I know I have. Maybe you’re in a place that you feel like there’s no hope. No hope for that marriage, no hope for my kids, no hope that reconciliation can come, just no hope. The Bible tells us there is hope in the Lord, “Put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption” (Psalm 130:7).

We’ve just got to put our hope in the Lord. He is the only one that can fix, redeem, a situation but so many times we put our hope in ourselves or someone else. When we put our hope in earthly things or people we will be let down. There was a time I was so desperate for hope & revival in my soul that I cried out to God and He sent me to His word.

Psalm 119: 25-32

This is the word He gave me. It became my prayer until I felt that revival, until I felt that hope swell up. Revive me by your word Lord. My encouragement from my own experience is don’t give up. Don’t stop praying, don’t stop hoping in the Lord. Continue praying for that marriage, that child, that situation. There is no situation God can’t redeem. There have been times I’ve prayed prayers for years before I saw with my eyes that my prayer was answered but know even though you don’t see it right now God is working on that situation, just surrender it and turn it over to Him. Be diligent in your prayers, don’t give up. Be that praying wife, mom, grandmother or friend. God’s Word says, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16). God’s Word is full of promises of hope, redemption, blessing and much more, it’s life changing! If you need hope, pray & get in God’s Word. If you know someone needing hope, pray for them.
