Blessed is the one who finds Wisdom

Everywhere I turn around lately I hear the word wisdom. That’s something I want to continually walk in. Wisdom will guide us when we don’t know which way to go, when we don’t know how to parent those kids, when we want to be the spouse God has called us to be, the employee we need to be, the leader He has called us to be, whatever it is there’s wisdom in the scriptures. The Bible is FULL of wisdom for our daily living and scriptures telling us how important it is to attain wisdom. As a Christian, it’s as simple as asking God for wisdom.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Wisdom will open your mind to the Word of God and give you understanding that you didn’t have before. Wisdom will guide your decision making so that you know you’re making the right choice.
Wisdom is crucial for the believer. Unfortunately, in this country we have walked away from wisdom because there is no fear of the Lord.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭9:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Fear of the Lord is reverential awe of God and a deep respect for Him and His Word. You can see the lack of wisdom around us by choices being made that are against the Word of God. No respect for what His Word says. We can’t make decisions that are contradictory to the Word of God and claim wisdom.
I pray our nation goes back to understanding we must fear the Lord. We need wisdom. We need Godly leaders to rise up and lead the way back to God.
I’m asking God for more, more understanding, more wisdom today. I pray you will join me. Our families, our marriages, our workplace, our friends will all benefit. Search His word out. Read a proverb a day, a chapter every day of the month. Read James, it’s a short book you can read in one sitting. Read Ecclesiastes and Psalms. The Bible is FULL of wisdom, just get in it!
A wise person trust God fully and knows His ways are better. A wise persons life is pleasing to the Lord. That’s who I always want to be!

“Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding,”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭8:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬
