“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Studying through Judges this morning about Samson and his amazing strength. Over and over it says, “Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon him.”

God’s hand was on Samson. He had amazing God given strength to defeat the Philistines. He was confident in that strength and had many victories by the hand of God.

As you continue to read in Judges you will come to see that Samson’s strength left him at one time. He got lulled to sleep by the enemy and before he realized it, God’s strength had left him. He woke up facing a battle with no strength at all.

Just a thought, have God’s people been lulled to sleep by the enemy, so much so, they don’t know God’s strength have even left them?

Have many gotten too focused on the worldly and have no idea they are slowly drifting away from God?

Oh goodness, let’s not find ourselves facing a dire situation and have no strength left to face it.

It’s inevitable we are all going to face something, most of us have already. Trials come and go and we need Gods strength to get through it.

Let us not get lulled to sleep by the enemy, by ALL the distractions of the world and wake up facing a battle and have no hope of victory.

“We prepare. You should too.” This is the headline on our Department of Defense website. They say, “Being prepared could be the difference in life or death.”

We must prepare for battle long before the battle shows up. All those mornings you were obedient to get up and pray, read and study Gods Word, you are preparing for a battle. It could be two years from now, two days from now but that’s your preparation. To win a war you must prepare. Those who prepare will have Victory. He has defeated everything we will ever face. We can be confident in the Lord’s strength.

Don’t get comfortable or lulled to sleep, stay vigilant. Prepare, daily!
